Build something
worth trusting.
Marie sits where native apps, agent systems, and local AI meet. We’re looking for thoughtful developers who care about how those pieces work together.
Where you could contribute.
Explore the areas of work below. Open a role to see the focus and experience that would help.
iOS & macOS developerSwift · SwiftUI
The focus
Make a capable agent feel clear and approachable on a small screen. Work on the iPhone interface and the Mac companion that connects it to local execution.
What would help
Experience with SwiftUI, asynchronous state, and native Apple application lifecycles. An interest in careful interaction design matters as much as polished screens.
The work
- Build task progress, conversation, and approval interfaces.
- Improve reconnection, cancellation, and background recovery.
- Turn complex processing choices into understandable product behavior.
Agent & backend developerPython · APIs
The focus
Work on the connection between the agent, task system, and mobile client. Keep execution, policy, and progress consistent when a task spans several tools.
What would help
Experience with Python, asynchronous APIs, and long-running tasks. An appetite for debugging the boundaries between components.
The work
- Develop streaming task APIs and reliable execution lifecycles.
- Integrate agent tools without duplicating the agent engine.
- Make approval, error, and cancellation behavior testable.
Local AI & systems developerInference · Performance
The focus
Help local agents do useful work within real hardware limits. Improve the execution path while keeping local processing boundaries explicit.
What would help
Experience with local inference, profiling, or systems engineering. A practical approach to measurement and a willingness to investigate real failure cases.
The work
- Measure and improve local inference and tool latency.
- Work on model residency, resource scheduling, and cancellation.
- Evaluate document and audio executors with reproducible inputs.
Work that makes a difference.
We value clear interfaces, honest technical boundaries, and reliable behavior when things go wrong. The project is in an owner-alpha stage, so there is room to influence both the product and the engineering.
